Institute for Writing and Thinking Focused on the critical role that writing plays in both teaching and learning, the Bard Institute for Writing and Thinking brings secondary and college level teachers together for workshops, conferences, and on-site consulting. The workshops, taught by Institute faculty, emphasize collaboration, intellectual challenge, and reflection, and are experiential: teachers write together and discover through practical, hands-on instruction how to make writing a central practice in their classrooms.
