Learn firsthand about post-Katrina New Orleans and the Bard New Orleans Initiative, work alongside Bard students and the Broadmoor Community Development Corporation on data collection projects tracking neighborhood revitalization, and experience the Big Easy with fellow alumni/ae!
This program includes six nights at the Hampton Inn (in the French Quarter), breakfast at the hotel each morning, two lunches and four dinners, receptions and tours, two community service opportunities, New Orleans airport shuttle and group transportation, and a night of music!
Trip Details
Duration: 7 days
Cost:
$1,300 per person, double occupancy (minimum 20 attendees)
$1.800 per person, double occupancy (minimum 10 attendees)
Single supplement: $500
Deposit: $250 required by December 12, 2008.

What's not included: Round-trip airfare, personal travel insurance (recommended), gratuities to hotel staff, any hotel incidentals, any items of a personal nature, any meals not specified in the schedule, alcoholic beverages, and any optional excursions or sightseeing.
Tentative Schedule
January 13-Welcome dinner
January 14-Sightseeing tour, lunch/panel, and a reception at the Contemporary Art Center
January 15-Service day, and lunch and dinner with students
January 16-Optional service day (lunches provided for those working) and dinner at a local restaurant
January 17-Arts District tour, tentative reception at a private home, and an evening of New Orleans music
January 18-Free day and closing dinner
January 19-Depart New Orleans
